Grateful for all my clients today but especially so for Community Chest of Port Washington who organizes a 5-mile Thanksgiving Day Run. I’ve run almost every year since I was 16 years old (and walked it when my kids were in my belly — see those kids hovering over me in this morning’s photo).
It’s always a joyful family tradition but this year, as a nonprofit fundraising professional, it takes on new meaning. The Chest raises funds for nonprofits across the community, and creates tremendous donor engagement and town pride. Nonprofits are incredible engines of goodness in the world!
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving and a Generous and Joyful Holiday Season!
A special shout out to Executive Director Robert Keller and Shelly Persaud, Board Chair Drew Hershkowitz and the Board, and all the volunteers who put the community first this morning.
